What's
New
June 13, 2002
– California Legislative Update
We would like to draw
your attention to a very significant page the State of California,
Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted on their
site. The DWC is soliciting the opinions and comments of the general
public on a variety of new and revised regulations, many of which
are a result of the recently enacted legislation, Assembly Bill
749. They have posted an online forum for us to read and post comments
on the proposed revisions.
This is your
chance…let your voice be heard!
The forum can
be found at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/WCJudicial.htm.
For relevant additional information, the California Commission on
Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation (CHSWC) has issued
a report on the revisions that can be found at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/CHSWC/ab749.html.
We encourage your participation
in the forum discussions on the DWC site, and hope that providing
this information contributes to overall community involvement in
government decisions that ultimately affect us all.

May
20, 2002 – SchoolFair Re-launch
The grand re-opening
of SchoolFair.net is very exciting! After a year of significant
redevelopment, the cyber doors are once again open to serve you.
If you were a visitor to the previous site, you will notice the
brand new look with many new features like the Workers’
Compensation Business Directory and Event
Calendar.
The school search
was a favorite from the previous site; we have enhanced and upgraded
the search capabilities, refining the search engine to include more
industry categories as well as the ability to search within a 10
mile, 50 mile or 100 mile radius of any zip code. Our goal is to
list every career school and training facility in the United States,
so if you see a school that we’ve missed, we would like to
hear from you (or them) to add their school to our list –
it’s free.
Keep checking
back with the site as we will have many more additions and enhancements
coming up in the near future. We recommend you make the “What’s
New” section of the site your first stop when visiting SchoolFair
on the Net to check out the latest SchoolFair news, highlights and
special promotions.
SCHOOLS &
BUSINESSES – In honor of the re-launch, we are offering a
special limited-time promotion wherein new subscribers receive three,
six or nine FREE months when you subscribe to enhance your basic
listing profile. Click on Get
A FREE Listing for more information.
This site is
designed with you, our audience, in mind. We welcome your suggestions.
Let us hear from you!
Thank you for
visiting, and welcome back to SchoolFair on the Net!
